What RiverFinn is

RiverFinn presents information published by public gauges, weather services and wildlife agencies, together with guidance generated from that information. It is a planning aid. It is not the agency, not the gauge, and not a substitute for your own judgement on the water.

Regulations and safety

Fishing regulations, seasons and closures are set by the managing agency. RiverFinn shows what it can read from the agency, and links to the official source. Always confirm current regulations with the agency before you fish.
River conditions change quickly. A reading is a measurement from a station at a time; it is not a guarantee of what you will find at the water.
Finn's answers are generated from RiverFinn's data. They can be wrong. Do not rely on them for safety decisions.
You are responsible for your own safety, licences, permissions and compliance with the law.

Your account

You sign in with your email address. Keep access to that inbox private; a sign-in link is a key to your account. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

Subscriptions

RiverFinn Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, at the price shown there. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms; cancel from your device's subscription settings. Access continues until the end of the paid period. Safety information — closures, advisories and alerts — is free and not part of the subscription.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access other people's data, disrupt the service, scrape it at scale, or use it to build a competing data product from RiverFinn's compiled sources. Public data belongs to its publishers; RiverFinn's arrangement and guidance are ours.

No warranty; limitation of liability

RiverFinn is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RiverFinn is not liable for losses arising from reliance on information in the app or website, from unavailability of data, or from decisions made on the water.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app and on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
